The 6600 / 8800 Series gives crews 6,600–8,800 lb of lifting capacity in a portable aluminum gantry that shares its trolley family with the 11000 Series. Most of these gantries can be assembled from the ground up by 1–4 people using standard tools, then rolled while loaded to position the lift exactly where it needs to be. Same eme modular approach — up to a 4-tonne capacity ceiling.

Three configurations on the standard 15 ft beam — the R-15 covers the 106–154 in lift range, the XT-15 extends into mid-tall installs, and the 6600/8800 MAX reaches 136–216 in for the tallest setups. The MAX is offered at both 6,600 lb (3 tonne) and 8,800 lb (4 tonne): identical chassis and dimensions — the 8,800 lb build is 885 lb assembled vs 875 lb. Spin the model on the right while you read.

R-15, XT-15, and MAX weights and dimensions are verified against the current eme Aluminum Gantry Crane Spec Summary. The 6600/8800 MAX is offered at 6,600 lb (3 tonne) or 8,800 lb (4 tonne) — an identical chassis and dimensions; the 8,800 lb build is 885 lb assembled vs 875 lb. Lift range = min/max height to lifting eye. Max height = max top-of-trolley height. Assembled weight excludes the beam trolley. Main beam: standard 3×12 proprietary 6061-T6 aluminum box extrusion engineered for lifting service; longer beam lengths step up to a larger specialty beam. Each 6600 / 8800 Series design is qualified by a 150% proof-load test on the engineer-stamped drawing; each production unit is then load-tested to 125% of rated capacity before shipment and supplied with a Certificate of Test.

Where the 6600 earns its keep.

The 6,600 lb capacity covers the lifts most jobs actually need at the next tier up — pumps, motors, switchgear, generator components, equipment maintenance bays, paired-lift industrial work. Heavy enough to carry what you find on industrial, utility, and regulated-facility jobsites; light enough to roll into the workspace where it's needed. Click any photo to enlarge.

Built for Small-Crew Ground-Up Assembly

Most 6600 / 8800 Series gantries can be assembled from the ground up by a small crew using standard tools, with forklift support where it speeds setup or reduces handling effort. The system is designed for practical jobsite assembly while preserving the loaded mobility expected from eme gantries.

Small-Crew Setup

Most 6600 / 8800 Series configurations can be assembled from the ground up with a small crew, standard tools, and forklift support where needed.

Facility-Equipment Friendly

Use a forklift or comparable facility equipment to speed setup on taller models, longer beams, or high-frequency fleet use.

Rolls While Fully Loaded

Reposition the 6600 / 8800 Series with the load on, on suitable level surfaces and in accordance with the operating manual — no need to unload, re-rig, and re-lift between positions.

Shared Trolley Family

The 6600 / 8800 Series uses a trolley family shared with the 11000 Series, simplifying training, replacement parts, and fleet support across compatible eme gantry configurations.

Engineered, Welded, and Load-Tested for North America

Every eme 6600 / 8800 Series gantry is engineered to ASME B30.17 (cranes and monorails), CSA B167 (overhead travelling cranes), the Aluminum Design Manual (ADM), and CSA S157 (Canadian aluminum structural design). All welded aluminum structure is produced under CSA W47.2 certification — the Canadian Welding Bureau's third-party credential for fusion welding of aluminum. Each 6600 / 8800 Series design is qualified by a 150% proof-load test documented on the engineer-stamped drawing. Each production unit is then load-tested to 125% of rated capacity before shipment and supplied with a Certificate of Test.
